Would you refuse a higher sale price for your assets?

Assume that you are out in the market to sell what you have and a smart broker assures you a price way higher than any available yardstick that you can think of would you refuse that since you think goes against ‘fair play’? Not many would do that.

Facebook too did not do that. Even if it did not care about fair play, it could have been smarter instead of just being clever. It went further and it hid the worsening ad revenue figures from the potential buyers (of stock).
