Here is another secret of leadership.
Make sure that you are always learning something new. Even if what you learn is not directly connected with your work it will be worth it as long as you enjoy it. Don’t go overboard. Steady efforts will bring you not just a new skill or knowledge, but it will add something quietly inspiring to your personality. That is leadership.
Teaching is the counterpart of learning. Teach anything which you are good at and which has worked for you. Teaching will sharpen your thinking and help you reaching out to people. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing that you made a difference to someone. That too is leadership.
Learning and Teaching need not be restricted to your work. It is worth cultivating them as habits.
They will open new pathways of development and progress for you.
