The word ‘corporate culture’ is thrown around quite a bit, particularly by every new CEO. Also many management writers like this word very much.
But what is it? If you wish to understand culture and do something about it, culture is the way day to day and important decisions are made in an organization. That is it.
For example, if a company pushes out products without thorough testing it has culture of being only money minded. Don’t go by what its bosses say.
Just look at the a sample of decisions and the clinching reasons for them. You can safely junk all culture theories and surveys.
