Lead to Regenerate tip: Convey, don’t communicate

It is not just a play of words. To communicate, as it is mostly done, is to send out some information, words, data, ideas. Communication mostly take form of broadcasting.

To convey is to see that all that you say or write has reached your audience.

Most communication failures occur due to insufficient or wrong thinking about what you wish to say and for whom it is meant and whether it is likely to be understood well. Poor language itself is not a problem. When people are interested they overcome language barriers.

Of course ‘sharing’ would be better than ‘conveying’ . But sharing can take place only when there is a basic trust between people.

To lead better, you will have to put in some quality thinking even before you start saying anything.  If you are going in for any communication skill development program, do check these aspects.
